SNOW!

I finally got to see some REAL snow this winter! We're in St. Louis for Home Missions Board Meetings and they had some snow last week... although its warmed up and a lot has melted, at least I got to SEE it! I love winter time and I always look forward to getting at least one winter storm that shuts everything down for a day or two. I like to have all the family in - bake bread and make stew - play games and drink hot chocolate. Maybe go outside once or twice long enough to get chilled to the bone - just so we can put our PJ's on and cuddle up with a hot cup of Chai Tea or Coffee to get warm again. I guess it brings back memories of my childhood - my very early childhood, in Ohio. I can remember so much from when I was only 3 or 4 years old. My husband and half my family doesn't believe me... but I can! Those were some fun years for a child, but I know my parents had to work hard to keep the family warm and fed. No indoor plumbing or running water... A wood heater and wood

They had a skit depicting the stages of marriage, the Blandons spoke and I told some funny stories about how different personalities react differently to the same situation. I guess I'm in a mushy mood - thinking about the 31 + years that I've been married to my sweetheart. We've had our ups and downs just like everyone else. Some rough years and hard knocks. But tonight I am so at peace with my marriage relationship. I not only love my husband but I am in love with him. I loved the guy I married... but I adore the man he has grown to be. We are best friends. Soulmates. The fact that he wants me beside him thrills my heart. I know that when I married him we were both way too young and immature to make a lifetime decision; so I give God the glory and the credit for uniting two young hearts... and for keeping us these 31+ years! Hope your Va
