I finally got to see some REAL snow this winter! We're in St. Louis for Home Missions Board Meetings and they had some snow last week... although its warmed up and a lot has melted, at least I got to SEE it! I love winter time and I always look forward to getting at least one winter storm that shuts everything down for a day or two. I like to have all the family in - bake bread and make stew - play games and drink hot chocolate. Maybe go outside once or twice long enough to get chilled to the bone - just so we can put our PJ's on and cuddle up with a hot cup of Chai Tea or Coffee to get warm again. I guess it brings back memories of my childhood - my very early childhood, in Ohio. I can remember so much from when I was only 3 or 4 years old. My husband and half my family doesn't believe me... but I can! Those were some fun years for a child, but I know my parents had to work hard to keep the family warm and fed. No indoor plumbing or running water... A wood heater and wood ...
